Mazda launches buyback protection program
Mazda North American Operations, the Irvine-headquartered automaker’s U.S. and Mexico operations arm, has instituted a new buyback protection program for purchasers of Mazda certified pre-owned vehicles. The launch of the new program is due to the renewal of Mazda North American Operations’ (MNAO) agreement with Experian Automotive, designating AutoCheck as Mazda’s exclusive vehicle history report in its certified pre-owned vehicle (CPO) program.
The new program offers peace of mind and no extra cost to customers purchasing a Mazda CPO vehicle and a history report, covering what was paid for the vehicle plus up to $500. “Building trust between retailers and their customers is an essential element in auto sales success today,” said Scott Waldron, president of Experian Automotive. “Providing the detailed vehicle history information in AutoCheck adds instant credibility to any CPO program.”
The partnership between Mazda and Experian, with AutoCheck, has increased sales for Mazda CPO vehicles over the past year, up to 34.7 percent, in comparison to the industry’s 5.4 percent average. Customers will also be able to use the AutoCheck report on all CPO vehicles in North America for comparison and selection purposes.
“We look forward to showing our customers that we are dedicated to their satisfaction,” said Scot Stettner, vice president of U.S. sales operations for MNAO. “The AutoCheck Buyback Protection Program will further instill buying confidence in our customers who are looking to purchase a reliable and affordable certified pre-owned Mazda vehicle.”
