United Cerebral Palsy of O.C. hosts annual golf tournament
Newport Beach-based United Cerebral Palsy of Orange County, or UCP-OC, will host its 18th annual Autumn Golf Classic on Monday, Oct. 22 at the Santa Ana Country Club. The Life without Limits Tournament, also known as The Brianna Cup, is open to all participants to provide an opportunity to casually network with top Orange County businesspeople at a private golf course.
The tournament was founded by DLD Insurance Brokers Inc. CEO Dana Dowers and business associate Chris Dubia. “The Brianna Cup” was added to the tournament’s name at the 13th event, to recognize SPC Retail Display Group CEO Scott Pievac’s daughter. Brianna Pievac lives with Cerebral Palsy.
Cathleen Collins, CEO of UCP-OC commended Dowers and Pievac for their commitment. “Scott and Dana’s leadership and commitment to children with disabilities is truly extraordinary and they’ve contributed to the growth of our organization in very challenging economic times.”
The tournament begins at 10:30 a.m. with a scramble format and shotgun start. The day includes a putting contest, BBQ lunch, cocktail reception, awards dinner, and a live auction. For more information about the tournament, click here.
